Venue Research Specialist (Part Time) – Loudoun County

Crave Locally is a digital tourism initiative dedicated to helping families, couples, pet owners, business owners and niche travelers discover the best local experiences across wineries, farms, and lodging in Virginia. We are proud to be a recent recipient of a Loudoun County tourism grant to support the onboarding of 135 venues to our platform. This milestone marks the beginning of an exciting chapter in building a transparent, inclusive, and easy-to-navigate guide to Loudoun County’s diverse agri-tourism offerings—for families, sustainability-minded travelers, corporate groups, and everyday explorers alike.

You’ll visit venues, collect insights, and help unlock access to the best of what Loudoun has to offer.
Who We are Looking For
We are seeking several enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to support data collection from agri-tourism venues across Loudoun County, including wineries, farms, and lodging or campsites. This is a flexible, part-time, project-based (temporary) role with high visibility and the potential for future engagement, including community outreach and relationship management, as Crave Locally grows. The selected individuals will be assigned a portion of the 135 venues, and we are looking to finish the venue onboarding by the end of October.
Key Responsibilities
-> Visit assigned venues in person (within Loudoun County)
-> Complete a structured survey (provided by Crave Locally) for each venue
-> Collect and input data accurately and consistently into the provided format
-> Represent Crave Locally professionally during visits
-> Report progress regularly to the Crave Locally team
Time Commitment and Compensation
- Each venue profile is estimated to take approximately 2 hours to complete
- Compensation is $20/hour (1099 independent contractor)
- Flexible schedule – work can be done on weekdays or weekends based on mutual availability
