About the owners
The Sassy Ass Farm was founded by Becca, whose lifelong interest in donkeys began in childhood and continued into adulthood with the arrival of her miniature donkey, Jingle. That early connection evolved into a commitment to providing permanent, well-cared-for homes for miniature donkeys and retired horses. Alongside animal care, Becca created The Sassy Ass gift brand, with all proceeds supporting the herd’s ongoing care and enrichment.
History of the venue
Located in Loudoun County, Virginia, The Sassy Ass developed over time as additional donkeys and senior horses were brought to the farm from auctions and other situations where long-term placement was needed. What began with a single miniature donkey has grown into a dedicated sanctuary focused on lifetime care rather than turnover or production. Today, the farm functions as both a permanent home for its animals and a supervised visitor destination centered on education and interaction.
