About the owners

Located in the rolling hills of western Loudoun County, Bleu Frog Vineyards reflects the Kernan family’s transition from a life of global service to one rooted in Virginia’s countryside. After more than 30 years in the U.S. Navy, Joe and Jan Kernan settled at the historic White Stone Farm in 2016, drawn by its rocky terrain, open views, and proximity to Leesburg. What began as a small grape-growing project soon evolved into a working vineyard, producing its first wines in 2019.The name “Bleu Frog” combines Jan’s background in French culinary arts with Joe’s Navy SEAL heritage as a “frogman.” Together, they’ve built a vineyard that values community, craftsmanship, and connection. The family remains active in supporting veteran organizations and animal rescue initiatives, bringing those same principles of service and care to their work on the farm. Visitors will find a welcoming setting where good wine, good company, and good causes come together.
