About the owners
The winery was founded by Stephen Bozzo, who had a prior career (in law) and took on viticulture as a “second act.” Their philosophy is family-centered.
History of the venue
Vines were planted beginning in 2013 (i.e. the winery “launched” after the planting) according to a local winery guide. Their “third harvest” was discussed in 2021, suggesting their first harvests were around 2018–2019.
Winemaking philosophy
At Bozzo Family Vineyards, winemaking is rooted in family, simplicity, and stewardship of the land. The Bozzo family’s approach emphasizes approachable, high-quality wines enjoyed in a setting that reflects Loudoun County’s natural beauty. Guided by a philosophy of responsible land management, they employ low-drift sprayers, minimal chemical inputs, and EPA-approved water treatment systems to reduce environmental impact and preserve local ecosystems. Every detail—from energy-efficient building design to careful vineyard care—reflects a deep respect for the environment and community. The result is a thoughtful, down-to-earth winemaking ethos that balances quality craftsmanship with sustainability and family legacy.
