About the owners
Founded by Hannes and Sarah Endhardt, Endhardt Vineyards reflects a shared dream of creating a family-run farm winery rooted in craftsmanship and community. In 2018, the couple purchased 46 acres of scenic land near Lincoln, Virginia, drawn by the idea of cultivating exceptional Virginia wines and offering a welcoming space for friends and families to gather. Their journey began with clearing untouched farmland and hand-planting the vines that now define the property’s landscape—a hands-on effort that embodies both their entrepreneurial spirit and their love for the land.
History of the venue
The Endhardts broke ground in 2018 and spent several years transforming raw countryside into a working vineyard and modern tasting destination. Construction of their barn-style winery began in 2019 and was completed by summer 2020, followed by the build-out of a bright, modern-rustic tasting room and scenic patio. Their first on-site harvest came in fall 2021, with bottling of the first five varietals in early 2022—a milestone that marked their official debut as Loudoun County winemakers. Today, the estate features roughly 11 acres under vine, including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and the recently planted Grüner Veltliner.
Winemaking philosophy
Endhardt Vineyards takes a patient, quality-driven approach, focusing on producing small-lot, estate-grown wines that express both the land and the season. Whites are released after careful aging and refinement, while reds are held for several years to develop depth and complexity—reflecting the owners’ philosophy that great wine cannot be rushed. As their vines mature, the Endhardts remain committed to producing wines that showcase Loudoun County’s potential and to cultivating an inviting space that celebrates craftsmanship, family, and the slow beauty of Virginia wine country.
