About the owners
Breaux Vineyards is the vision of Paul Breaux, whose curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit transformed a scenic Virginia property into one of the state’s most successful wineries. What began as a family hobby quickly evolved after friends encouraged the Breauxs to pursue winemaking professionally. Paul’s hands-on approach and passion for quality continue to guide the winery’s direction today, nearly three decades after its founding.
History of the venue
The story began in 1994, when the Breaux family discovered a 404-acre property in Loudoun County with three acres of vines planted in 1985. Those original grapes inspired the family’s leap into commercial winemaking. With new state-of-the-art equipment and meticulous vineyard practices—planting, harvesting, and sorting by hand—Breaux Vineyards opened to the public in 1997. Since then, it has grown into one of Virginia’s largest and most recognized wine estates, known for its panoramic views and strong role in shaping the state’s modern wine identity.
Winemaking philosophy
Breaux Vineyards follows a quality-first philosophy rooted in respect for the land and attention to every stage of the winemaking process. By combining traditional hand-crafted techniques with modern technology, the team strives to produce wines that reflect both the elegance of Virginia terroir and the dedication of the people behind them. Each bottle represents the Breaux family’s enduring belief that exceptional wine begins with exceptional care.
