We are Jan and Fernando and this winery has been our dream. We founded it in 2015. It takes a lot of work, but we know it is worth it.
Winemaking philosophy
Iron Will Winery approaches winemaking with a singular focus: producing the very best wines Virginia has to offer. Every step of the process, from tending the vines to fermenting and bottling, is guided by meticulous care and a refusal to compromise on quality. The winery has also acquired the Maggie Malick Wine Caves brand, continuing to craft and sell its award-winning wines online and through pickup events, ensuring longtime fans can enjoy them in a welcoming setting. Recognition from the local industry underscores this dedication—Mark was named Loudoun County Wine Grower of the Year in 2019, and Maggie received the Winemaker of the Year award in 2022.
