About the owners
October One Vineyard—O1V—was founded as a reflection of a personal story: the owners named the vineyard after their wedding anniversary, symbolizing their love and their commitment to grape growing. With more than 17 years of experience in Virginia wine, they see strong parallels between nurturing a marriage and tending vines—both requiring dedication, patience, and care. Their passion and pride in Loudoun County’s wine community are central to O1V’s identity.
History of the venue
Located on 30 acres in Bluemont, Virginia, O1V is a true estate vineyard producing small-batch wines with a focus on quality over quantity. Rather than an onsite tasting room, O1V brings its wines directly to the community through a shop in downtown Leesburg, where visitors can enjoy not only O1V wines but also a curated selection of other Virginia labels. This dual presence allows the vineyard to showcase its craft both at the farm and in the heart of town.
Winemaking philosophy
O1V is committed to crafting single-vineyard, single-varietal wines that highlight both terroir and vintage, capturing the authenticity of each harvest. All wines are 100% estate-grown in Loudoun County, made in very limited quantities with painstaking attention to artisan practices. The colored paint stripes on vineyard posts—and echoed on each bottle’s label—symbolize the varietals grown and serve as a reminder of the vineyard’s daily dedication to producing wines that express place, season, and character.
